SSC GD Constable Bharti 2024: SSC GD constable recruitment notification released, 26146 vacancies, 10 special things

SSC Gd Constable Vacancy 2023-2024: Notification of SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2024 has been released. Applications have started from today 24th November 2023. A total of 26146 vacancies have been removed. Application for GD constable recruitment can be made by visiting the official website ssc.nic.in. Through this recruitment, thousands of vacant posts of GD Constable in BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB and Rifleman in Assam Rifles will be filled. The last date for application has been fixed as 31st December 2023. Fees can be paid till January 1, 2024. The application fee is Rs 100. SC, ST, women candidates do not have to pay any fee. Chapanits will get the pay scale of Level-3 – (Rs 21,700-69,100).

1. Eligibility – 10th pass candidate will be able to apply for constable recruitment.
2. Age limit will be 18 years to 23 years. Age will be calculated from 1January 2024. birth of candidate
Should not be earlier than 2 January 2001 and not later than 01 January 2023. within the maximum age limit
There will be a relaxation of five years for SC ST and three years for OBC category.

3. How will the selection be done?

First there will be written examination (computer based). Successful candidates will be called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PST). Those Candidate pass PET PST will be called for medical and document verification. The final merit list will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination. PET PST will be merely qualifying. Only passing in PET and PST will be required.

4. GD Constable Recruitment Exam will be conducted on 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29 February and 1, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12 March, 2024.

5. Pattern of written examination

The paper will be of one hour. Only 80 questions will be asked In the written examination, questions related to General Intelligence, Reasoning and General Knowledge, General Awareness, Elementary Math’s and English/Hindi subjects will be asked. 20-20 questions will be asked from all four sections.

6. There will be negative marking. Candidates should note that 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

7. Physical Qualification Rules (PST)

Length

Male candidates should be 170 cms.

Female candidates – 157 cms.

Chest – Male candidates 80 cm. (expanded to 85 cm)

8. Physical Efficiency (PET – Physical Test)

Male candidates will have to run Five km in twenty four minutes. Female candidates will also have to run 1.6 km in 8 and a half minutes.

9. Final Merit

The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the written examination of those candidate pass PET/PST. PET PST will be merely qualifying.

10. Exam will be held in 13 languages

The examination for recruitment to the post of Constable GD in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) will now be conducted in 13 regional languages apart from Hindi and English. With this decision of the Home Ministry, lakhs of candidates appearing in the GD Constable Recruitment Exam will be able to take the written in their mother tongue. This will increase their chances of selection.
